A landmark in HIV prevention drugs, PrEP (tenofovir with emtricitabine) is now since 1 March 2018 available for eligible patients in New Zealand. At this training GPs and nurses will learn more about prescribing PrEP, HIV prevention strategies and identify people at risk for HIV. This training will also include an STI update.
This training will provide GPs, Nurses, and Health Professionals working in primary care an update on strategies available for the prevention of HIV transmission, focusing particularly on pre-exposure prohylaxis (PrEP).
